Before submitting your manuscript, please ensure that:

· your research falls within the journal's Aims & Scope;

· your manuscript complies with the Author Guidelines;

· all ethical, authorship, and disclosure requirements have been met;

· supporting data and materials are available where appropriate.

This guide explains the requirements for preparing your manuscript at each stage of the publication process, from initial free-format submission through to the final production-ready files required after revision.

Submission Preparation Checklist

Copyright Notice

1. Author Contributions

Author contributions should be reported using the CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy).

Example:

1. J.A.A.: Conceptualization, Investigation, Writing – Original Draft.
W.Q.Z.: Formal Analysis, Visualization.
C.M.S.: Supervision, Funding Acquisition, Writing – Review & Editing.
All authors have read and approved the final manuscript.

2. Competing Interests

Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence, or be perceived to influence, the work reported in the manuscript.

Examples:

1. The authors declare no competing interests.

2. [Author name] has received research funding, consulting fees, or speaker honoraria from [Company/Organization]. The remaining authors declare no competing interests.

3. Data Availability Statement

A Data Availability Statement (DAS) is required for all submissions. The statement should describe where the data supporting the findings are available and provide relevant repository names, persistent identifiers (DOIs or accession numbers), and any applicable access conditions.

Preferred practice

1. Authors are strongly encouraged to deposit research data in an appropriate public repository before submission. Providing persistent identifiers at the time of submission improves transparency, facilitates peer review, and supports the long-term reproducibility of published research.

Examples

2. The data supporting the findings of this study are available in [Repository Name] at [DOI or persistent identifier].

3. The data are available under restricted access from [Repository/Organization] and may be obtained subject to the applicable access conditions.

4. No new data were generated or analysed during this study.

4. Funding

Authors should acknowledge all sources of financial support for the work.

 

Examples

1. This work was supported by [Funding Agency] (Grant No. XXXXX).

2. This research received no external funding.

5. Preprint Disclosure (where applicable)

Authors should disclose whether a preprint version of the manuscript has been publicly posted before submission.

Examples

1. A preprint of this manuscript has been deposited in [Server Name] and is available at [DOI or URL].

2. No preprint version of this manuscript has been posted.

6. AI Use Disclosure

Authors should disclose any use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools in the preparation of the manuscript. AI tools may be used only for language editing or improving readability and must not be used to generate scientific content, interpret results, create research data or images, or be listed as authors.

Examples

1. Generative AI tools were used solely to improve the language and readability of the manuscript. The authors reviewed and edited the output as necessary and take full responsibility for all content in the published article.

2. No generative AI tools were used in the preparation of this manuscript.

7. Originality and Exclusive Submission

Authors must confirm that the manuscript is original and is not under consideration by another journal.

Example

1. This manuscript is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

8. Permission to Reuse Previously Published Material (where applicable)

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reuse any copyrighted material included in the manuscript.
